FAST, BEAUTIFUL COURSE!
Get ready to run the Lake Norman Half Marathon! This is the only race that highlights the best of Lake Norman. See beautiful views of the lake and enjoy running on one of the fastest courses in the Charlotte area. Afterwards enjoy live music and beer.
Once again we will be at theThe Lake Norman Yacht Club. You get to reach your goal by finishing at their breathtaking property. You will have a stunning view as you come in of the lake and of all of the amazing sailboats moored there.

The Lake Norman Yacht Club, is a family-friendly sailing center serving its members and the Lake Norman community for over 60 years. The club’s focus is on supporting a community of people interested in sailing, sailboat racing or learning to sail.
In fact, the LNYC offers several opportunities to LEARN TO SAIL!! If you are a beginner, they offer a 2 hour introduction to sailing or they have sessions called WOW (women on the water) or EOW (everyone on the water). You have to check out their site for more information because once you see all of the beautiful boats and the location, you are going to want to SAIL!!
All Half Marathoners will receive a finisher medal.
*Note: There will be no refunds, exchanges, or transfers for this event. Sale and/or transfer of race entries/bib numbers is strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification. All entry fees are non-refundable.

PARKING
Parking will only be available at off site. We understand that this is not ideal but, it is the only way we could save our awesome course. It also allows us to start and finish in a beautiful location. There will be buses to take you to and from the race site. We will offer bag check. We will give you a bag for this purpose at packet pick up.
Woodland Heights Elementary and Middle School

Buses will begin pick up at 5 AM and run continuously until the start of the race. The race will begin at 7:00AM.
After the race, buses will continuously take runners back to their vehicles.
Note: please respect the school's property. Do not park on the grass. Do not leave any trash.
Virtual Half Marathon
Enjoy the spoils of the Lake Norman Half Marathon wherever you live! You run, we send you your shirt, medal, and swag. Results can be uploaded by you after your run or you can send them to us and we will upload them.
Registration for the Virtual Half ends on May 1, 2024. Transfers from the in person half to the virtual will end May 1, 2024.
The TrueRiders
We are thrilled to have the TrueRiders as our featured band for post race fun. Follow them on Facebook so you can see where they play locally!
The TrueRiders are a Lake Norman-based duo, featuring “Jukebox Johnny” Savage on vocals and guitar, and David Sanossian on guitar. With a repertoire of songs spanning back to the earliest days of Rock n’ Roll, they’re guaranteed to bring the goods!
DROP OFF A RUNNER
We know that some of you would really like to be dropped off especially since many of you live in the neighborhood. It is very important to keep traffic moving on Yacht Road on race morning so we have a plan that should help. But, you have to do your part!! You have to get out of the car quickly so that traffic can not back up. You can not park.
Here is how we will all be successful:
Arrive at least 20 minutes before the start. (You don't want to be the reason everyone else has to wait to start.)
Your driver drives all the way to the end of Yacht Road.
There is a cul de sac there. They will follow it around and head back the way they came.
At the main gate of LNYC, you can be dropped off. If you want to be dropped off somewhere else on Yacht Road, please DO NOT USE PEOPLE'S DRIVEWAYS TO TURN AROUND.
Your driver can not drive into the Yacht Club. You have to be dropped out on the road and walk into the club.
Do not park in the grass alongside the club. Do not park in people's yards.
For this to work, we have to all work together!

Back again to provide runners, spectators, and staff the best donuts and coffee around!
They will be there serving from 7am until 10am. They accept Cash and Cards.
Look for them in the vendor village.
